The Facts About Termite Control Gumtree Revealed
As adults, huntsman spiders do not build webs, but hunt and forage for food: their diet consists mostly of insects and other invertebrates, and occasionally small skinks and geckos. They live in the form of tree bark, but may frequently wander into homes and vehicles. They have the ability to travel extremely fast, often using a springing leap whilst running, and walk on walls and even on ceilings.
The females are fierce defenders of their egg sacs and young. They will generally earn a hazard display if provoked, and whether the warning is ignored they might attack and bite. The egg sacs vary rather broadly among the various genera. For instance, in Heteropoda spp. Egg sacs are transported underneath the female's body.
